She began her 17-year illustrious career in New York City, training at the Aveda Institute and honing her skills at the celebrated Paul Labrecque salons. There, she refined her techniques in an environment celebrated by top publications like New York Magazine, Vogue, InStyle, and Allure.

Her talent in hairstyling and color quickly led her to styling celebrities like Sting and Helen Hunt. Her artistic flair has graced major events, including Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier and Jenny Lee Bridal Week, and has been featured on Entertainment Tonight.

In 2010, her career took her to Washington, D.C., where she joined the prestigious Ted Gibson Salon. Here, she expanded her mastery of diverse hair textures and became a Certified Deva Curl Cutting Expert. Then, while at David Rios Salon in Georgetown, she cultivated a loyal clientele and further enhanced her reputation by styling high-profile media personalities at CNBC and MSNBC. Her unique approach to couture updo hairstyling quickly distinguished her as a top stylist in the city for those looking for exceptional hairstyling for their most important occasions, particularly sought-after for weddings and special events.

Today, Kalizya is the proud owner of a salon suite in the bustling Petworth neighborhood of D.C.
